Do you ever find yourself thinking about dead musicians and whether or not their influence would be quite as strong had they lived just a little bit longer?
Or what if these dead icons were born during a completely different period of time? Some would most certainly crash and fail as their musical prowess had more to do with what year it was than actual ability. However, I think there are some who would reach all-star status regardless of the year.
For instance, if Lou Reed was still kicking, I’m pretty sure his work would sound an awful lot like that of Kevin Morby’s most recent work. On his new album City Music, Morby embodies all of the monotonous glory that made Lou Reed a household name, specifically on the track “Crybaby”.
